  • Heating Up: Tai Verdes scores an airplay chart debut with ‘A-O-K’
  • High Point: KSI’s ‘Holiday’ adds 346 spins, rises 12 frames to No. 19
  • Chart Leader: Jolyon Petch holds off Ed Sheeran for a sixth straight week

TikTok star Tai Verdes is the latest debutant on the AirCheck National Radio Airplay Chart. The 24-year-old’s new single ‘A-O-K’ scrapes in at No. 38 with airplay across eight outlets: The Edge Sydney, KIIS and the national Nova network. It marks Verdes’ first taste of airplay in Australia, with the exception of a handful of spins for breakthrough single ‘Stuck In The Middle’ in late 2020.

Airplay for ‘Holiday’ by UK rapper KSI ramped up by +39.5% across all dayparts, prompting a new peak for the feel-good single. Up 12 frames this week, KSI sits comfortably at No. 19 and is now the second-highest charting artist on Warner Music Australia’s roster, behind Ed Sheeran.

‘Holiday’ upped its rotation on the majority of playlists across Australia, especially  KIIS, where it spiked by 52 spins across Sydney and Melbourne. Other notable airplay gains occurred on Hit Network stations 101.9 The Fox and B105, both of which more than doubled their weekly spins.

Topping the chart once again is Jolyon Petch’s ‘Dreams’, holding off Sheeran’s ‘Bad Habits’ to claim No. 1 for a sixth consecutive week. Despite falling off the summit in four of the five metro markets, ‘Dreams’ remains the most-played song on the Hit Network.
