Community radio station 2RRR in Ryde, Sydney, is opening it’s doors this Sunday 31 August.

2RRR community radio was started by local residents in the mid-eighties and not only broadcasts a wide range of music genres, it also compiles and releases CDs of specialist music tied in with station programs, one featuring Australian heavy metal and another featuring Gothic Rock.
Visitors will be shown around the station and there will be children’s activities, face painting and a sausage sizzle.
The station’s current programs cover a wide range of music styles including jazz, country, heavy metal and classical music. The station also broadcasts programs that are presented by special interest groups or in languages other than English.
The 2RRR Open Day will run from 11am-3pm at 4 Victoria Road (at Crown Street) in Henley.
