Ten years of Camp Quality convoys

i98FM’s Camp Quality Convoy with Marty and Bianca is back bigger and better, celebrating 10 years in 2014.

This year, organisers have announced two new sponsors for the convoy, IMB and MJ Rowles, joining BHP Biliton and Win TV in support of the event.

i98FM General Manager Sean O’Shannassy is delighted to have the IMB on board as the Entertainment Sponsor for this years’ event along with MJ Rowles as our official T-Shirt Sponsor.

“Convoy would not have been able to raise over $4.3 million dollars in nine years if it wasn’t for the support of our local businesses who so willingly give back to our community. Sponsorships are a vital part of recouping the costs that are outlaid each year to make Convoy happen and the generosity of the IMB, MJ Rowles and others like BHP Billiton cannot be overstated – we are so grateful for their support.”

“IMB are proud to support the 2014 i98FM Camp Quality Convoy and help this wonderful event raise much-needed funds for so many local children and their families,” said IMB CEO Robert Ryan. “By helping out as the Entertainment sponsor we are sure the family fun day will be once again a great day of entertainment and celebration and encourage as many local residents to come and be part of a very special event.”

Director of MJ Rowles and long-time supporter of the event, Craig Duren said: “Convoy is close to mine, and the hearts of many people in our community. We are thrilled to be this year’s T-shirt sponsor and are looking forward to being part of the ten year celebrations.”

Organisers are confident that 2014 will see the Illawarra community again come together to raise funds for Camp Quality, who help to brighten the lives of kids living with cancer and their families.

Last year’s event saw a record-breaking number of trucks and motorcycles pass through the Illawarra with 782 trucks and 900 motorbikes taking part in the Convoy.

Aa total of $1,191,816 was raised – marking the biggest year in the i98FM Camp Quality Convoy’s history.

This year’s Convoy will be held on Sunday, November 16 with registrations for the event open as of Wednesday, September 3.
