The Christian O’Connell Show’s Win a Billboard campaign receives MFA Award

If you haven’t seen or heard about the newest Specsavers campaign I’m almost hesitant to tell you, but let’s just say their marketing department really does have 20/20 vision about what works, and makes you sit up and pay attention:

Over the weekend the 2024 Media Federation of Australia (MFA) Awards were held, representing the best in change-making media thinking and effectiveness of work produced by Australian media agencies, like the campaign above.

I was delighted to see ARN win for Best Use of Outdoor at those Awards for the GOLD 104.3 The Christian O’Connell Show Win a Billboard campaign. Listeners were able to take over billboards across Melbourne with their own personal messages like below.

I think the Win A Billboard promotion for Gold and Christian O’Connell, which this year incorporated images too, for extra resonance, is one of my favourite I’ve seen for the radio industry. Congratulations to the ARN marketing team behind it, and I’d love any updates on the lost ring.
