After the impact of the triple j Hottest 100 of Australian Songs a couple of weekends ago, ABC Radio Adelaide asked their listeners for their  South Australian Top 10. And well they might. Four of the Australia top ten were from SA.

There were plenty more to choose from. From Guy Sebastian to The Masters Apprentices, the glorious pub rock of The Angels to the singing nun Janet Mead there was one heck of a wide array of music connected to the state.

Thousands of votes were received in ABC Radio Adelaide’s special countdown with the final Top 10 South Aussie Songs revealed on air across the week. Next week ABC Radio Adelaide Evenings presenter Spence Denny will also play Nos. 11-20.

Nikolai Beilharz revealed No 2, Flame Trees by Cold Chisel, on his Drive Program this evening. No 1 will be announced on Sonya and Jules‘s breakfast program tomorrow, Friday August 8.
