The Thinkergirls hit the road to help women in need with Share The Dignity

KIIS FM’s national night show The Thinkergirls  have been getting into the festive spirit on their show over the past few weeks by putting their support behind Share The Dignity’s “It’s In The Bag” Campaign

This was a charity initiative taken on by The Thinkergirls, Stacey June and Kristie Mercer, after they spoke with Rochelle Courtenay, founder of Share The Dignity.

They were moved by the stories Rochelle told about how many woman who are doing it tough over Christmas and don’t have access to essential items, particularly women who have left home because of domestic violence.  Every year the ‘It’s in the Bag’ Christmas campaign, gives a little luxury to women experiencing hardship and The Thinkergirls wanted to do all they could to help.

The Thinkergirls put the call out far and wide to businesses to get involved by collecting handbags and filling them with items woman require including sanitary items, face wipes, deodorant, lip balm and other essentials and were overwhelmed by the generous response.

They collected more than 500 bags from people around Sydney and Melbourne for Share The Dignity.

They also spoke with a number of men from range of different workplaces who were keen to help the charity by getting their colleagues involved including ARN CEO Tony Kendall.
