The Thinkergirls join the 200 Club

KIIS network’s The Thinkergirls, Stacey June and Kristie Mercer, are celebrating clocking up 200 shows this year after taking over the airwaves with their brand new national night show on the KIIS network in January.

Best known for their highly successful podcast, Thinkergirls: The Podcast, with a cult online following, and sketch videos with over a million views across social media platforms, Stacey and Kristie burst onto the KIIS national network this year and have been talking all the things you are thinking but not sayin gand sharing their honest, fun, challenging and unique take on the world.

Boldly going where other radio shows would fear to tread, The Thinkergirls have tackled topical social issues like the gender pay gap, anxiety, feminism, alcohol and substance addiction, and gay marriage.

Celebrity guests who have featured on the show this year included Mila Kunis, Melissa McCarthy, James Arthur, Jessica Mauboy, Zara Larsson, Tove Lo, Alessia Cara, Magic and Jodi Picoult.

Relationships were always hot topics on the show with dating advice from Didier Cohen, relationship deal breakers with Gaz from Geordie Shore, tips on how to be a good wing woman and discussing the best and worst of single and couple life.

And of course, Stacey and Kristie were always up for a physical challenge and had a go at aerial yoga, the ‘Breather Method’ and even a nude photoshoot.

“We’ve discussed everything and anything this year from hilarious and embarrassing personal experiences to serious social issues and our listeners have been such a great part of that calling into the show to share their own take on life,” Stacey said.

“What I’ve really enjoyed is not only that we have been able to talk about things on our minds, that are perhaps might be a bit cheeky or saucy, but that so many of our celebrity guests like Didier Cohen and Tove Lo have been so willing to open up and tackle these sometimes uncomfortable but always fun topics too,” added Kristie.

The Thinkergirls can be heard from 7pm – 9pm every weeknight on the KIIS national network until December 9 and will be back on air in 2017 from Monday January 23 at 7pm.
