SCA has signed up leading technology commentator Trevor Long as its Triple M Tech Expert for 2026.
After two decades of talking tech on just about every radio station, network and region around Australia, from next year, Long will be heard exclusively on Triple M.
All of his other TV, podcast and online commitments remain unchanged.
Whilst Long has provided news, insight and commentary across a number of platforms, he says radio remains his first media love.
Long said on LinkedIn: “I’m genuinely pumped about this. Triple M is the only truly national network that reaches right across metro and regional Australia, and I’m stoked to bring my tech reviews, news and commentary to even more of their listeners.”
Long has been a regular on the Triple M Newcastle and Central Coast brekky teams for well over a decade.
More recently, he’s been heard across areas including Griffith, Sunraysia, Dubbo and the Mid North Coast.
“Being able to expand that and work with even more of the live and local Triple M teams is something I’m really looking forward to.”
“Plus – I’ll be doing weekly recorded tech updates that will run across all 40 regional Triple M stations. So yeah … it’s a pretty big step!”
“Of course, this does mean I’ll be finishing up with a few stations I’ve absolutely loved talking with every week for many, many years. I’m honestly so grateful for those relationships, the chats, and the trust they’ve had in me. But with everything I’m juggling across radio, TV, podcasts and online, I needed to tighten the focus a bit so I can keep doing this well (and keep some balance too!).”
“Really excited for what 2026 has in store — and very thankful to everyone who’s been part of the ride so far.”
Long started his radio journey as a producer at Sydney’s 2GB, before going on to host his own computer and technology show on the station.
He went on to work as Ray Hadley‘s Associate Producer and as the Executive Producer of 2GB’s Continuous Call Team.
