Triple J unearthing NSW

The last time triple j Unearthed a region in NSW (Sydney), over 3000 hopeful unsigned bands sent us their entries. This time around the station is unearthing the entire state of NSW, so the Unearthed team at triple j is bracing itself for the onslaught.

So far in the latest round of Unearthed, triple j has exposed new talent including: The Bumblebeez (ACT), Second Dan, Fizard, and Band Camp (Vic), The Dead Abigails (Tas), Vassy K, and Sophie Koh (NT), The Fuzz, and Yunyu (WA), and Missy Higgins (SA). They have joined previous unearthed bands such as Grinspoon, Killing Heidi, Endorphin, Daisy Cutters, Muzzy Pepp, The Tenants, and Rhubarb.

Next Monday triple j’s Breakfast team Adam Spencer and Wil Anderson will officially announce the beginning of Unearthed NSW.

Bands will be able to enter by sending in their songs into the station on CD, or they can, for the first time this year, send their song electronically as an mp3 via the triple j website.

Any unsigned musician or band living anywhere in New South Wales is eligible to enter. Entries will close on Friday February 27th.
