triple j’s Splendour in the Past has live music and memories

With no Splendour in the Grass in Byron Bay this year due to COVID-19, triple j will delve into the archives for Splendour in the Past.

From 9am – 6pm Saturday 25 and Sunday 26 July, triple j will play a selection of the best live performances from across the years, with highlights from Childish Gambino, Gang of Youths, Lana Del Rey, Vampire Weekend, Florence + The Machine, HAIM, Bloc Party, Violent Soho, Meg Mac, Thelma Plum, Stormzy and heaps more.

Plus they’ll be talking to artists and fans about their favourite Splendour memories, as well as digging up some of the most fascinating archival interviews, as well as plenty of backstage action, like when a local grandma had to stitch up Kanye’s pants, or when 16-year-old Lorde got the call to replace Frank Ocean.
