Triple M and Hit rule in Bendigo – Xtra Insights

In the first Xtra Insights survey of 2026 and the first for the Bendigo region of Victoria in two and a half years, little has changed. Triple M 93.5 is top (25.1), with a 3.0 increased in preferred station listening, Hit 91.9 is just behind with no change from last survey (21.2). Breakfast sees Triple M’s local pairing of Cogho and Jules (22.9) just ahead of Hit’s networked pairing of Dan & Christie (22.0) and again a long way ahead of the rest of the pack.

SCA Head of Regional Content, Blair Woodcock, said:

“We’ve kicked off 2026 with a fantastic result in Bendigo, with SCA the clear #1 network, reaching more than 70% of the key 25–54 audience – the Audience That Matters.

This hasn’t been a typical survey period for the people of Bendigo and our teams at Triple M and Hit91.9 Bendigo. During the recent bushfires, both stations played an important role supporting the local community and keeping people informed while also bringing some much-needed levity during a difficult time. I’m incredibly proud of the way our teams stepped up.

Triple M remains the #1 station in Bendigo (25.1 station listened to most, up 3 points), headlined by a great local Breakfast show in Cogho & Jules (Bryan Coghlan and Julia Greenhalf). Hit91.9 also delivered strong results, with Dan & Christie the #1 Breakfast show for P25–54 (34.5% station listened to most). These results highlight the power of great teams creating local content that genuinely connects with their audience.

Congratulations to our Bendigo teams on a fantastic result. It’s a great way to start 2026 and a reminder that strong local programming continues to resonate with our regional audiences.”

ARN’s Gold 98.3 FM and 1071AM was the most improved with Mark Robinson doubling his breakfast audience. While ABC stations saw people shifting their listening else where, the cumulative audience in the region was healthy with Gold again seeing the biggest uptick in listeners checking the station out.

ARN Bendigo General Manager, Shane Hogan said:

“I’m incredibly proud of the team at Gold Central Victoria today. Localism is at the heart of everything we do, so for the local community to reward us with record audience numbers today, it’s humbling.”
