Triple M Breakfast shows around the country including The Hot Breakfast with Eddie McGuire in Melbourne and The Grill Team in Sydney have bagged the newly shaved bristles of cricket hero Mitchell Johnson, and will auction them off in a replica Ashes urn on January 29.

One very lucky punter will take home the mo that not only struck fear into the hearts of the Barmy Army everywhere, but smashed them in the Ashes five to nil.

Johnson had his handlebars shaved off by his wife Jessica on Channel Nine’s The Today Show last week:

Details of how you can own the mo were revealed on selected Triple M breakfast shows this morning. The proceeds of the auction will go to men’s health charity Movember – the same charity Johnson grew it for last year – in a bid to help reach his $50,000 donation target.



Head of the Triple M Network Mike Fitzpatrick said: “Next Wednesday, one cricket fan will own the second greatest piece of Cricket memorabilia. Now that mo can have the poms quaking in their boots for eternity.”
