Triple M won three awards at last night’s Australian Football Media Association Awards (AFMA)
Most Outstanding Program (radio/online): The Triple Sunday Rub with Paul Roos, commended for the ability to take audiences into the inner sanctum with depth, insight and exuberance.
Most Outstanding Caller (radio): Brian Taylor’s clarity, accuracy and flair for language when calling the great game of AFL edging out a strong field of contenders.
The prestigious Lou Richards Media Award, given to a former or current player now working in the media, was won by Chris Judd.
This award recognises the person who embodies Lou’s traits on and off the field, a sense of fun, humour and ability to talk about the game with authority.
The judges added that Chris Judd “displayed new found personality and humour to a commentator historically known for his serious side. This coupled with his compelling insights into the game made him the unanimous choice.”
