Triple M raises money for Crohns

Triple M’s Pete Timbs ran the Bridge to Brisbane on the weekend in ‘Triple M’s Beat Pete’, raising money for Crohn’s & Colitis Australia.

For every person that beat Pete over the finish line, Triple M and Suncorp would donate $10.

Timbs, who came 2195th in the 10km run, will give CCA a total of $21,940.

“We don’t get a lot of public profile, so I’d love to thank Suncorp and Triple M for giving me the opportunity to raise the awareness for CCA,” said Pete.

“I wasn’t the only one running for us, so thanks to all who ran and raised money for the cause.”

“It was a great way to kick off Father’s Day, but at 41, this will be my last ever fun run… the body doesn’t recover as well as it used to.”

“To all the people who are suffering with Crohn’s and Colitis, keep your chin up, it might be hard now, but things will get better and fingers crossed there will be a cure just around the corner”
