The 2025 Unearthed High Winner will score a songwriting session with one of four top-tier Australian artists including The Jungle Giants, Peach PRC, Nerve or What So Not, with flights and accom to attend the session included. Plus, they’ll also receive expert guidance and support from music industry professionals to help level up their career.
Also returning is the Unearthed High Indigenous Initiative, which celebrates and supports emerging First Nations talent. This year’s winner will have their next single mixed by Konstantin Kersting (whose credits include Tones And I, The Rubens, Peach PRC and The Jungle Giants) and receive a mentorship from Nooky, artist and host of triple j’s Blak Out.
As Unearthed High 2025 heats up, a new show will also begin on Unearthed Radio, called Unearthed High Fidelity on Thursdays from 3:30pm, hosted by 2023 Unearthed High Finalist, Ixaras.
Since its inception in 2007, Unearthed High has helped launch the careers of some of Australia’s biggest and most exciting artists, including The Kid LAROI, Genesis Owusu, Sycco, Gretta Ray and Hockey Dad. The competition continues to uncover the next gen of Australian talent, giving up-and-coming artists and their music a platform to be heard far beyond the schoolyard.
