The Australian Film Television and Radio School has a range of short courses next month to upgrade your skills in Radio Packaging, Advanced Voieover and Announcing.

Over three weekends in September participants will have the opportunity for intensive training in three different skills areas.

Radio Packages

Learn how to make a ‘radio package’ in this two day intensive. When made well, short mini documentaries or ‘radio packages’ tap into a listeners emotions and transport them to a deeper connection with the program. Your tutor Martin Corben has extensive experience working for ABC Radio 702.

Advanced Voice Over

Take the next step. This two day course builds on the skills developed in AFTRS Open’s Voice Over course and also suits those with some experience with professional voice over work who wish to further polish their skills. A small group (MAXIMUM 6) and focus on performance will allow for more on mic time to work on strengths and weaknesses. The course also provides opportunity to identify an area of specialisation during practical sessions.

Announcing and Presentation
On air Radio industry professionals Gaby Brown (Triple J, KIIS 1065 FM, WSFM) and Melanie Withnall (2UE, 2SER FM) are the tutors for this practical and inspiring course where you will acquire invaluable skills and knowledge that will enhance and advance your career.
