Update: Laws takes killer call – caller arrested

“I’m gonna kill people,” said the caller. And he didn’t sound as though he was kidding. It’s been a long time since John Laws took a call from a desperate person intent on suicide or homicide or both. But today through one of the Supernetwork stations in Lismore, he took a call from Brad who was seriously intending to take an automatic weapon into the NRMA, who he felt had done him wrong. Laws tries to placate the man.

Update: At about 11:30am, a couple of hours after the call to Laws, police from Richmond Local Area Command arrested a 48-year-old man at a Chilcotts Grass residence. He was taken back to Lismore Police Station and charged with using a carriage service to cause serious harm.
