Tributes are flowing on social media following the death of Bill Ali.
 
The original face and voice of FMTV in Perth lost his battle with cancer on the weekend.
 
Bill was on drive through the 80’s on the original 96fm but his career stems back to back to Brisbane’s 4BC and also at Melbourne’s 3XY.
 
Rod Maldon, Assistant Content Director at NZME had this to say:
 
“Growing up in Perth and the amazing array of talent on the radio in the 80s and 90s Bill stood out amongst the choice. 96FM was all about the cool and Bill made his radio one of the coolest laidback places to be. A sad loss though the magic created and inspiration given is never forgotten.”
