Frank actually started as the station manager at 4CD when the station opened in August, 1970.
Both Steve Curtis and Peter Butler were there from day one of the station. Steve did nights and Peter did drive. It also included an American announcer, Jim Alsop who did afternoons and Shane Richardson who came with Frank from Mareeba. Shane was the first breakfast announcer.
Frank used to have a light system over his office door. Green you could enter and red was no go.
