Vale Sarah Tomlinson

ABC Mildura-Swan Hill Chief of Staff, Sarah Tomlinson has passed away unexpectedly after suffering a fatal anaphylactic reaction.

She was on annual leave in South Australia when she died.

Sarah had been a broadcaster since she was 14, spending many years in community radio, including Radio Adelaide, before joining the team at the ABC.

She had presented music, current affairs, and emergency coverage in every shift from dawn to dark, as well as having been a radio trainer and lecturer based in Adelaide.

Sarah worked in South Australia and Adelaide, hosting Mornings and Regional Drive for ABC South Australia and Broken Hill, before moving to Mildura.

She presented ABC mornings, regional drive, and had two stints as a Chief of Staff.

In 2018 Sarah moved back home to the Victorian Mallee to be the chief of staff in her home patch, one of the ABC’s most remote bureaus.
