Grant Broadcasters has announced Gregg Easton has accepted an offer to become Acting Content Director of Power FM & 2EC on the New South Wales far south coast.

He will also host the magazine format morning show on 2EC, with a heavy focus on music, news, sport and multiplatform digital content.
 
It marks a return to fulltime radio after an absence of four-years. During that time he completed fulltime tertiary studies in Digital Journalism & Communications at the University of Canberra, and the Canberra Institute of Technology. He also kept his finger on the radio pulse overseeing the campus station – UCFM, and mentoring students.
 
After graduation Gregg (left) gained experience in on-camera presentation, video production and multiplatform content as a TV journalist and newsreader. His most recent position was the fixed-term role as Acting Media & Communications Manager for the W-League’s ‘Canberra United’ producing multiplatform content.
 
“I’m truly impressed with the Grant network’s focus on embracing new media and its convergence with established media – an area I studied in great detail recently at university,” he said.
 
“These roles, situated in a beautiful part of the world – the Sapphire Coast – give me the opportunity to utilise more than 30 years commercial radio experience working alongside such highly respected operators as GM – Greg Clark and State CD – ‘Deano’ Kesby”.
 
With a career that began in the early 80s, Easton has worked on-air at many stations including – Triple M/ B105/ 4BK/4KQ in Brisbane, 2WS/ 2UW in Sydney, 90.0 Sea FM Gold Coast, 2DoubleO Wollongong and Mix106.3 Canberra. He was also Program Director of Canberra’s 2CA.
 
He commences at Power FM/ 2EC on 4 April, and will re-assess the roles after three-months. If comfortable with the workload he will take on the Content Director’s role fulltime, looking to then bring an Assistant CD on board.
