Honouring a Legend: Peter Greco
In a special moment of national recognition, long-time Vision Australia Radio presenter Peter Greco was inducted into the Community Broadcasting Honour Roll by the Community Broadcasting Association of Australia (CBAA).
Peter’s 34 years of volunteering for Vision Australia Radio, more than qualified him as a nominee with the required 15 years or more of dedicated service to community broadcasting. His decades of advocacy for inclusion and accessibility, have made him a trusted producer/presenter, and familiar voice to so many, who have consumed his content for well over a quarter of a century.
From Leisure Link to Focal Point (with Phil Vanderpeer), Vision Extra, and Vision Sports, Peter’s work has uplifted countless voices within the blind, low vision, and disability communities. Beyond the mic, he remains a passionate advocate for a more inclusive and accessible society.
Conrad Browne, Manager of Vision Australia Radio and Audio, said:
“These awards are a powerful recognition of the essential service Vision Australia Radio provides to people who are blind, have low vision, or experience print disability.
Every program, broadcast, and partnership is powered by our volunteers’ dedication, the ongoing support of our sponsors’, donors, and partners. Together, we make sure that everyone, regardless of vision status, has access to information, entertainment, and a platform to be heard.”
