Vision Christian Radio celebrates 25 years with a live broadcast

February 1 2024 is 25 years since Vision FM (now Vision Christian Radio) began broadcasting, under a narrowcasting licence.

In began when Max and Gwen Poulier volunteered to host the first Vision station from their house in Beaudesert, Queensland. A one-watt transmitter broadcasting on 88.0 FM was installed and, Gwen is still hosting Vision Radio from her house to this day!

Phil Edwards, CEO of Vision Christian Media said:

“It was pretty humble beginnings, and it was a great partnership in those early days that would then be replicated throughout the years with many others all around Australia.”

Today, Vision is heard in over 800 locations across Australia, on AM, FM and on DAB.

To celebrate the milestone, Vision’s breakfast show Rise and Shine will broadcast live from the Beaudesert Café. If you’re in the area, you can celebrate with the Vision team from 6 to 9 am, get a gift, and a photo with Breakfast duo Fel and DJ.

Gwen Poulier will make a special appearance around 8.30 am.

If you can’t make the day in person you can listen on the Vision app, or online.
