In another appeal at Brisbane Christian station Vision FM, there were tears and smiles all round at the end to a 49-hour ‘on-air’ appeal called ‘Visionathon 2002 Building Appeal.’ The aim was to raise $125,000 (PLUS) from more than 100 communities across Australia who currently receive the Vision FM radio signal.
The funds raised will be used to pay cash for an industrial warehouse currently leased by Vision FM and its parent body, United Christian Broadcasters (UCB) Australia. After a final hour that left listeners and staff with their heads spinning as a huge amount of significant last minute donations came in, the Grand Total raised for the weekend stood at $134,710.
