Not only was the city recently voted the happiest in Australia, today May 1 also marked an occasion to celebrate with community radio station Voice FM turning 40.

Past and present announcers featured on air, sharing stories, listeners were invited to ring in and of course there was cake and balloons.

There will be further events later this year to also mark the milestone including special programs on the station’s history and outside broadcasts.
