Vote for your town as triple j’s One Night Stand returns

triple j’s One Night Stand is getting ready to hit the road again, bringing a massive live event and some of the nation’s biggest and brightest acts to a regional or rural town around Australia. As to the 2026 destination this September, that is up to you.

What began more than 20 years ago in the small Western Victorian town of Natimuk has since travelled right across the country. triple j’s One Night Stand has gone from Dubbo and Port Pirie, Alice Springs to St Helens, and more recently Warrnambool and Busselton in WA bringing artists like Flume, G Flip, Spacey Jane, Thelma Plum and more to stages across Australia.

For some regional and rural fans, it’s a chance to catch their first ever gig, or see their favourite artists in their own backyard. For the rest of the country, it’s when triple j shines a national spotlight on a community they might never have heard of, broadcasting live all day and showcasing Australian music across social, radio and more. With the addition of the More Than A One Night Stand Sessions, the event also opens doors for young people looking to start in an industry that can sometimes feel centered around the big cities.

Then there’s the ongoing impact of the events. Last year, 98% of attendees told triple j that afterwards they were more likely to seek out new Australian music. Plus, over $1.5 million was injected into the local economy and more than $230,000 was raised for music industry charities Support Act and The Push.

If you’d love to have triple j’s One Night Stand land in your hometown, send us them your pitch. What is special about your town? How would hosting the event would make a real impact for young people in your community? Head here to submit. Submissions close 9am AEDT Monday March 23.
