Voting now open for the ABC Classic 100: Greatest Of All Time

ABC Classic marks its 50th anniversary in 2026 with voting now open for the annual tradition of the ABC Classic 100. Last year it was Piano (Beethoven won). The year before Feel Good (Beethoven won again). This year it is the biggest question of what is the greatest classical music of all time?

ABC Classic Breakfast with Megan Burslem revealed the theme this morning. Audiences nationwide are invited to vote for the classical works they love most, with Australia’s favourite pieces to be revealed across Saturday 6 June and Sunday 7 June, from 10am-6pm. Can Beethoven claim a trifecta?

Also announced today is the fourth ABC Classic 100 in Concert, premiering on ABC TV and ABC iview on Saturday 27 June at 7:30pm. Hosted by Megan Burslem and Jeremy Fernandez, the concert by the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra with Principal Guest Conductor Benjamin Northey will be a spectacular celebration of Australia’s Greatest of All Time, as voted by ABC Classic listeners.

You can head to the ABC Classic website to vote up until Thursday May 28, at 8pm AEST. If you need a little inspiration the Classic 100 archives are here.
