Voting now open for Triple M’s Best of Melbourne

105.1 Triple M Melbourne‘s popular Best of Melbourne competition returns for 2026 and this year they’re seeking the BEST coffee in a city that doesn’t make a bad one.

After more than 57,000 votes were cast in 2025, Triple M is expanding the search and also asking Melburnians to nominate and vote for the city’s best food, pubs, markets, and first up, record stores.

Now in its third year, Best of Melbourne has celebrated the businesses, venues and local institutions that define local culture, with new categories including Best Burger, Best Market, Best Bánh Mì and Best Record Store joining the competition.

Best Record Store was added after a recent Victorian Music Development Office study found Melbourne now has more record stores per capita than anywhere else globally, with hotspots like Fitzroy and Collingwood home to thriving independent music scenes.

This week, Triple M’s Mick in the Morning co-host Rosie Walton and workday announcer ‘Dangerous’ Dave Williams hit the road to meet local entrants, including Point Cook’s Rare Records. Speaking on Triple M, Rare Records owner Doug Bear wasted no time nominating his own favourite burger spot in Melbourne, saying “You need to go to Bam Burgers in Altona, that’s it!”

Dave and Rosie took time to put one of the best coffee entrants to the test above too.

The full list of Best of Melbourne categories includes:

• Pub
• Coffee
• Bakery
• Sports Club Canteen
• Pizza
• Butcher
• Burger
• Record Store
• Market
• Bánh Mì
