In the latest Nielsen Survey, WAVE FM has scored number one position with everyone aged 20 plus in the Illawarra.
The survey was conducted for Grant Broadcasters during the past month, but competitors Wave and the ABC did not take part and detailed figures for those stations are not available.
WAVE FM now dominates the 40-54 adult audience and also experienced the largest increases among under 40 year olds of any Illawarra Radio Station.
South Coast Regional General Manager Wendy Gee is delighted with the results. She has told radioinfo:
“We are thrilled for our Advertisers, that WAVE FM experienced the strongest increase of any Illawarra Station across all aged groups. The official radio survey result for everyone aged under 40 has truly amazed us.”
The station’s biggest increases were among 10-17’s, 18-24 and 25-39’s.
“Full credit has to go to our Programming and on air teams led by Steve Fox and Glen Badans and the fantastic Bigger Breakfast Team Phebe and Dave.
“Wollongong listeners have voted with their ears and their fingers and chosen 96.5 WAVE FM as their station of choice,” says Gee.
