October 23 was Ride to Work Day and Lyndal and Crammy from 96.5 Wave FM’s Drive show decided that’s what they would do, but what they would ride they left up to their listeners.
Suggestions ranged from a jetpack to a space hopper before the duo settled on a bicycle tuk tuk. But, where to find one?
They managed, with the help of a sponsor to get one from China which turned up a couple of days before Ride To Work Day.
But, it wasn’t assembled!
Fortunately a local bike shop helped out and from 3pm Lyndal and Crammy did their show live from the bike as they cycled the scenic 23 kilometres from Sandon Point in Bulli to Wave FM in Warrawong.
3 hours and 40 minutes later they finally arrived at work with 20 minutes left on air. I think this should definitely be the station promotional vehicle from now on.
