In a a great piece of local radio this morning Star 106.3‘s Archie and Donny (main picture), heard from a friend of theirs, President of the United States of America Donald Trump, who after investigating purchasing Canada had decided that the logical next step from there was making Cairns a part of Townsville. To break the news, not very gently, Trump called Archie and Donnie’s sister station down the road a bit, Star 102.7, and breakfast hosts ‘Jon Bon and Inkie Winkie’.

Jon Bon and Inkie Winkie who are really just Johnny and Inkie (pictured below) to their listeners then turned the segment on its head when Archie and Donny asked for what the President had said to them, because ‘they were unable to hear’. According to the Cairns duo, Townsville will become South Cairns and Trump just raved about their Esplanade.

For the record it took me several ‘Cairns’ before I realised that (ahem) Mr Trump wasn’t saying Karens. That added a whole different meaning!
