Our conversation with John Laws last week was extremely popular, attracting even more readers than for the Kyle Sandilands interview a month ago. It evoked a few questions from readers. Among them, “Whatever happened to Stuart Jay?” He being the man who made a living from imitating John Laws’ voice and vocal mannerisms in TV and radio commercials.

Although we could not trace one of Jay’s ads that sound like Laws we were able to find this hilarious live read, where he is unsure of what he bought from the jeweller he is personally endorsing, from 1968 on 5KA (now Triple M) in Adelaide from the Pop Archives website.
