Robbie Klitzing and Adam McGuire from Red FM‘s Big Breakfast have surprised everyone in Northern WA by not only completing the annual Lake Argyle Swim, but winning their category of the 10KM Quad race.

The boys can now add the title of Open Water Swim Champions to their resumes after taking out the event in front of the 1200+ swimmers, volunteers and spectators last Saturday. 

Robbie and Adam were MC’s for the 680 person Gala Presentation Night where they had to present themselves the winners trophy and prize money…which in an awkward twist was sponsored by Red FM.

The help of their mate and third team-member ‘Cuddles’ (Aaron Ellis-Kerr) didn’t hurt the teams chances, given his history of long distance swimming.

 

The Lake Argyle swim was part of the Big Breakfast’s  annual Extraordinary Kununurra Tour, where the boys spend 10 days in the region showcasing the East Kimberley to the rest of WA.
