Who’s going where in 2023?

The End of the Year shuffle has slowed down as most of the new appointments in metro markets for 2023 now appear to have been settled.

This is what has happened so far:

Ben & Liam have moved to Nova 100 in Melbourne taking their producer Belle with them, forming a new breakfast team, Ben, Liam & Belle (pictured) and replacing Chrissie, Sam and Browny who called it quits at the end of this year.

Chrissie Swan will host her own national radio show next year on Nova, called The Chrissie Swan Show.  

Jodie Oddy moves back into breakfast with sports journalist Andrew Hayes for Nova 919’s new breakfast show Jodie & Hayesy in January 2023.

The Bec, Cosi and Lehmo breakfast show on SAFM finished after three years on air.

Andrew ‘Cosi’ Costello left in late October, while Bec and Lehmo continued until the last show for the year on 25 November.

Mark ‘Soda’ Soderstrom joins Rebecca ‘Bec’ Morse for the SAFM Breakfast show, Bec and Soda.

2GB Drive presenter Jim Wilson left his Drive show to “pursue other opportunities with Nine television.”

9News political reporter Chris O’Keefe has been named as the new host of 2GB’s Drive program, commencing on 9 January 2023.

With the departure of Gareth Parker, Steve “Millsy” Mills and Karl Langdon took up the reins of the 6PR Breakfast show, starting Monday November 21.

Triple M Sydney will have a new breakfast show next year with Jess Eva telling listeners that, The MG, Jess & Pagey show will not continue in 2023” but the trio would continue to be a part of the Triple M Family.

Mick Molloy returns to his spiritual home on Triple M, joining Triple M Sydney for a brand-new show with Mark ‘MG’ Geyer to shake up Sydney Breakfast.

The Hit Network have confirmed that Carrie Bickmore and Tommy Little will continue to entertain Australians for the next four years as hosts of the national Drive show, Carrie & Tommy.

triple j Breakfast presenter Ebony Boadu wrapped up her time on the show and will be replaced by Concetta Caristo in 2023 .  Good Nights host Bridget Hustwaite is also leaving with Latifa Tee taking the reins, and Declan Byrne from Home & Hosed will be replaced by Ash MCgregor.

Sarah Macdonald is moving into a new extended Mornings show on ABC Radio Sydney in 2023.

Max Burford will join Mix 102.3’s The Ali Clarke Breakfast Show in 2023.

Charlie Pickering will present his own show each Friday from 5.30am to 8.00am on ABC Radio Melbourne.

Outside of the metro areas and after a 33-year radio career, the Mid North Coast’s Mark ‘Strawny’ Strachan from 100.7 and 106.7 Triple M has retired from Breakfast radio, replaced in 2023 by his son Alex Strachan.

Geelong Broadcasters GM Andy Mathers has revealed that he’s moving onto new projects in late January 2023.
