Will Sydney’s smooth be crowned that city’s number one radio station when GfK‘s Survey 4 is handed down at 9.30am tomorrow AEST
It’s possible.
After Survey 3 they were just 0.01% behind rusted on number one 2GB.
In fact, last survey, it was all good news for Nova Entertainment in Sydney, with smooth number one in Drive with a 12.4 share and NOVA 96.9 number two on 10.5, handing the company almost 23 per cent of the audience.
Meantime in Melbourne, Survey 3 was a highlight for SCA with a 1.7% fightback by FOX to regain its place atop the FM tree on a 9.8 share.
The Today Network also scored well in Adelaide where HIT107 gained 1.0 to be on 9.0. And in Perth HIT92.9 edged upwards (+0.2) to settle on an 11.0 share overall.
For ARN both KIIS and WSFM enjoyed solid gains with Kyle and Jackie O back to number one FM Breakfast.
Gold in Melbourne remained relatively steady with a 8.1 share and KIIS101.1 made ground, up 0.5 to a 7.0 overall.
And with marketing for Sydney’s 2Day FM breakfast show kicking off a week after Survey 3, will it regain the green shoots that were apparent in the April survey before they succumbed to the winter chills in June, suffering a -0.8 slump (breakfast was down -1.0) to be back to 3.5 overall?
So many questions and we are just one sleep away from all the answers.
radioinfo will have all the figures and analysis alongside interviews with network heads and PR spin.
