Wippa brings 36 Months to the UN General Assembly

Nova 969‘s Michael ‘Wippa’ Wipfi has been in New York this week. As a guest of the Prime Minister Anthony Albanese he yesterday had the opportunity to bring his successful 36 Months campaign to a world stage at the United Nations General Assembly.

The ban for Australian children under 16 accessing social media platforms comes into effect on December 10.

Emma Mason also spoke at the Assembly. Her 15-year-old daughter Tilly died by suicide after being bullied on social media. Her speech drew a standing ovation.

The Prime Minister said afterwards:

“The truth is that our legislation is where the world is going.”

He also said that if he had the power to hand out Orders of Australia, he “would have walked up on stage here and given Emma one on the spot.”
