WorldAudio Limited has announced that 15 radio broadcast sites around Australia have been “successfully deployed” to begin the formation of “the major part of the Company’s national commercial AM broadcast infrastructure”.
WorldAudio via its broadcasting entity Radio 2 is “now able to provide free-to-air commercial AM program content” to an estimated potential population reach of “12 million people [all ages] Australia-wide.”
The company’s AM off-band sites are “operational and broadcasting as Radio 2” in the following areas:

“The Company is now in a position to develop its business model and offer a national platform as a ‘one-stop-shop’ for advertisers,” according to WorldAudio CEO Andrew Peter Thompson.
“This is a unique concept that has become reality – and it is a very proud moment for all those involved – a major achievement,” he said.
To establish the transmission infrastructure “WorldAudio has entered into site agreements with Broadcast Australia which owns transmission towers with a 98% population coverage in metropolitan, regional and rural Australia, and Crown Castle International which is the largest independent tower operator in Australia, with its nationwide portfolio of 1402 towers providing sites for cellular coverage to over 92% of the population.”
