Xavier, Juelz & Pete’s 27-hour Show

Hit92.9’s new breakfast show, Xavier, Juelz & Pete have undertaken their biggest challenge to date, a 27-hour non-stop show.

Going live at 6am on Thursday morning, the trio completed their 27-hour show at 9am this morning.

Their producers packed heaps into the show to not only wear them out, but keep them awake the entire time and they survived some huge curve-balls, including a live stream on Facebook to keep them accountable.

Highlights of the 27 hours included:

  • Xavier dedicating a full day to Juelz’s tinder profile, eventually securing a candlelit dinner date later in the evening.
  • Some huge guests – Birds of Toyko’s Ian Kenny; Perth Wild Cats captain, Damian Martin; West Coast Eagles captain, Luke Shuey; Fremantle Dockers’ Luke Ryan; Pete’s mum (with food!); two alpacas; and of course, Juelz’s Tinder date, Josh.
  • The team leaving the studio to broadcast from the Scarborough Sunset Markets with thousands of Perth’s beach goers, and later into Claremont at midnight to shout kebabs to the nightclubbers heading home.

When asked about the show, Pete said: “I feel like an empty shell, but I can’t tell you how rewarding it is to broadcast for 27 hours straight with my two best friends, knowing we’re 27 hours stronger.”
