You can’t treat everyone the same: Jamie Angel is a Game Changer

In Craig Bruce’s latest Game Changers: Radio podcast, he speaks to Jamie Angel.

Jamie Angel is the Content Director at Triple M Sydney, and has worked at Southern Cross Austereo for almost thirty years.

His career includes number 1 drive, afternoon and breakfast shifts at B105, Fox and 2Day FM. He took Kyle and Jackie to their first number 1 result in 2005, and has several ACRAs for best metro music announcer to his name.

As a program director one of the biggest things Jamie had to learn was how to have different conversations with different people. “You can’t treat everyone the same, you can’t have the same conversation stye with everyone.”

In the podcast, Craig Bruce describes Jamie Angel as the best music announcer he has heard, and also recognises his skills as a creative writer and naturally gifted programming minds in the country.

His first radio job was at 2NZ, by the age of 15 he was doing breakfast on air then walking up the hill to school just in time for the 9.05 bell.

In the podcast he tells a great story about his first call from Brad March offering him a job in Canberra. He didn’t believe it was Brad.
