For your next trip join Ian MacRae on a Radio Professionals’ Tour of India

Radio personalities often host groups of listeners on overseas tours or cruises. However, long-time broadcaster and radioinfo contributor Ian MacRae has brought a twist to that concept by putting together a special trip for people working in radio.

He told radioinfo “I got the idea after recently hosting a tour of Turkey. Although this time it won’t be Turkey but India. For radio people, India is a very interesting market now with a large number of new FM licences being issued. So a highlight of the 15 day tour will be a visit to a top rating radio station in Delhi – Red FM. Plus we’ll be visiting many other famous places including, of course, the Taj Mahal. We’ve called this tour, which I will be hosting, “India-Palaces & Castles” because that’s where we will be staying.

“This will be a fun tour and the perfect opportunity for radio people to catch up with each other. It’s not just for on-air presenters. We want to include management, sales, production, producers…everyone. Partners, friends and family are welcome and even listeners. And it doesn’t matter which state you come from. Singapore Airlines flies from every Australian capital city and we all meet up in transit in Singapore and the price remains the same.”

MacRae (right) points out the departure date comes at the end of the last ratings survey for the year, December 5, and returns 15 days later just in time for Christmas.
