In the many, many guesses and comments around the big announcement Kyle Sandilands was going to make this morning, no one even hinted at a collaboration with Chuck Norris and zombies.
But that is what’s happening. Kyle Sandilands is stepping into the world of film.
This morning on The Kyle & Jackie O Show, Kyle announced he will be making a cameo in the upcoming movie Zombie Plane, joining a cast that includes Chuck, Ice T, Sophie Monk, Amy Shark, John Jarratt, Cody Simpson and Bob Geldof. Listen below.
Kyle: I don’t know whether you’d call it ‘movie star’, or would you call it a cameo just playing myself in a movie. But yes, I’m doing this.
Jackie: Tell everyone what’s the story here.
Kyle: Well, let me tell you who I’m starring alongside first, Jackie. Chuck Norris, in his final ever film. Chuck Norris is in the film.
Jackie: Didn’t you use to watch Chuck Norris growing up and want to be him? Imagine if someone came along and told your younger self, don’t worry, Kyle. You’re homeless now but one day, you’re going to be in a movie with Chuck Norris.
Kyle: I would’ve probably not believed them, Jackie.
Jackie: You would’ve thought they were patronising.
Kyle: Who else is in that movie? Sir Bob Geldof, Vanilla Ice is also in the movie. Sophie Monk is also one of the big stars of the movie. Brian Austin Green, the DJ from Beverly Hills 90210, he’s also in the film. John Jarratt, Australian legend, also in the film. Cody Simpson, also in the film. And Amy Shark, also in the film.
Jackie: Wait, what is this film about?
Kyle: Let me tell you the name. Can I tell them the name, Bruno (Bruno Bouchet), or is that under wraps?
Bruno: Yeah, you can do it.
Kyle: Prepare yourself. Zombie Plane. That’s right. Zombie Plane. Snakes are so last year, that Snakes on a Plane. Sydney to LA, a flight is taken over by zombies and an eclectic group of high-profile passengers, led by celebrities turned secret agents, must band together to fight to save humanity. Have you ever heard of a better plot ever?
Jackie: It’s got the Oscars written all over it!
Kyle: Well, look, Jackie, I’m actually picking out my Oscars outfit now. Who’s doing the soundtrack? Flo Rida. Hello. Everything’s lined up for success here. I love it. We’ll be going to Cannes, probably. We’ll be going to all the film festivals. Probably. Move over, Leo. You’ve had your turn. It’s Sandilands’ turn.
I wonder how many of the above survive the zombies by the end? And if Kyle is saved by Chuck, or the other way around?
