2UE program director Greg Byrnes has resigned after 17 years with the station to take up a senior position with Sky News as it prepares to compete with the ABC’s soon to be launched 24 hour news channel. General manager Tim McDermott said he that Byrnes will stay with the station till the end of May and hopes that during that time Greg will be able to find a worthy successor.
