ABC Foreign Correspondent and International Editor Peter Cave has announced he will retire from the national broadcaster after more than four decades of covering the world’s biggest international stories. He has reported from more than 50 countries during his ABC career.
He was the presenter of the ABC’s flagship radio current affairs program AM and was bureau chief in several ABC foreign bureaux. Peter is a five-time winner of the Walkley Award.
