ABC Innovation has appointed Mark Dando as Head of Online and Mobile. The newly created position oversees ABC Innovation’s Digital Networks stream, focusing on audience-facing initiatives across online and mobile platforms. He will report to Director Innovation, Angela Clark. Dando joins ABC Innovation from Fairfax Media’s Sydney operation where he was Head of Mobile Strategy. He previously worked for NineMSN, British Telecommunications, NEC and Microsoft. His recent achievements include leading the strategy for the Sydney Morning Herald and The Age iPhone and iPad services, and launching the successful AirLink product that bridged print and mobile allowing the newspaper to ‘come alive’ with video. He begins on 8 October 2012.
