After a second tour of duty with Austereo, this one lasting 8 years, Rick Wade has decided it’s time to see what’s beyond the MMM Brisbane Imaging studio. His last day will be May 7.
In an amusing farewell email, PD Rex Morris wrote: “…time to see what’s beyond the MMM Brisbane Imaging studio. I told him it was pretty much the Newsroom if you turn left, and B105 if you turned right. Turns out he didn’t mean it literally, and champagne comedy like that may have actually assisted him in making the decision…
‘You’d have to look in an awful lot of studios to find a nicer bloke, and I’m not looking forward to finding someone to fill his headphones. Some sort of farewell activity involving beer will be announced in due course.”
