APN News & Media has announced the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer to replace Brendan Hopkins. It has also announced the appointment of a new Director and the retirement of two independent Directors.
Brett Chenoweth is the new CEO. He is currently Managing Director and Head of Asia-Pacific for The Silverfern Group, a New York-based specialist merchant bank. He has held senior strategy, business development and operational roles at Telecom New Zealand, ecorp, ninemsn and Village Roadshow Pictures. He is also a director and founder of Gizmo Corporation, a leading Australian IT services company. He will receive a base salary of $1.5 million per annum.
APN has also announced the appointment of John Harvey as an independent, non-executive Director, and the retirement of directors Donal Buggy and Cameron O’Reilly.
