Fame Teu has departed Mai FM in Auckland after 11 years as breakfast host and music director. It is the second most listened to show in the city, behind NewsTalk ZB‘s Mike Hosking.
“After a lot of thought, I’ve decided it’s time for me to step away from my role. I never set out expecting to have the career I’ve had. If I’m honest, I really didn’t want to end up back pouring concrete for a living, so I’m incredibly grateful that radio gave me a chance.
Looking back over the last 10 years, I’m proud of what we’ve built together. More than anything, I’m grateful for the people I’ve met along the way. Many of you have become more than colleagues, you’ve become family, and you know who you are.
