Guyon Espiner will take over the hosting duty of RNZ‘s Midday Report from Charlotte Cook on January 26, 2026.
Charlotte has moved to a new role of Field Correspondent.
Guyon has previously co-hosted the Morning Report and worked with the network to create documentaries, podcasts and written investigations.
“Being an election year, 2026 will be an important year for New Zealanders. I can’t wait to get back into the studio and ask the questions we all have about the main stories of the day.”
