The popular 4CA breakfast radio announcer Mike O’Loughlin is hanging up his headphones when he retires after 40 years on the airwaves. His third and final stint in Cairns, including his time with former 4CA FM presenter Juanita Kelly, is ending after 12 years. He started out in 1972 as a cartridge operator in Adelaide. And now for something completely different, he is heading south for a career change, managing a farm in Victoria’s Goulburn Valley.
