A Better World Blueprint, produced and presented by Shevonne Hunt, offers a different way of looking at things, instead of focussing on everything that’s going wrong, this podcast features guests working to make the world a better place.
Journalist Shevonne Hunt (pictured above), familiar to many parents, following her decade-long stint as the presenter of podcast series Feed Play Love said of the new project:
“People who are trying to make the world a better place have a kind of magic. Their energy is infectious and inspiring, because it comes from a really authentic place. I wanted to tap into that and share it with other people.”
Each weekly episode is a 15 minutes or less dash of audio inspiration, offering listeners a break from a 24-hour news cycle of doom and cynicism, instead providing guidance, support, counsel and inspiration through the voices of social justice leaders, wellbeing experts, parenting specialists, stylists, writers, artists and inventors, including in the first four episodes, host of the ABC’s Parental as Anything, Maggie Dent, yoga instructor Eileen Hall, founder of mobile laundry service Orange Sky, Nic Marchesi, and Amelia McFarlane, who started her company Colour Me In Styling to help men and women embrace their self expression.
TV presenter, author and podcaster Jess Rowe said:
“Shevonne is a born communicator. Her warmth, wisdom & enthusiasm comes through in everything she touches. And her wonderful new podcast is just what we all need more of – hope & joy.”
Shevonne has spent more than a decade in radio and podcasting, producing ABC Drive and features for ABC Radio National and as Executive Producer of podcasts in the Parenting category for SCA. A Better World Blueprint is available wherever you get your podcasts with the first episode with Maggie Dent available on Monday October 7, 2024.
